Stainless steel ’studs’ or ’strips’ are commonly used by the transportation authorities on rail transit stations.
Product Range:
Studs
Decision - the circular ’stud’ pattern indicate a potential hazard or change of direction or location of amenities such as lifts.
The tactile indicator studs are available in 2 surfaces:
1. Circular surface (KC-35)

2. Diamond surface (KD-35)

3. Flat surface (KF-35)

The Diamond surface is anti-slip and is suited for outdoor applications.
Strips
Direction - the elongated ’strip’ pattern indicates the direction to of travel to be taken.
The tactile indicator strips are available in 2 surfaces:
1. Line surface (KC-285)

2. Diamond surface (KD-285).

The Diamond surface is anti-slip and is suited for outdoor applications.
Our tactile indicators have been widely used by the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Stations in Singapore. The tactile indicators are manufactured under strict supervision and control, tested and approved by PSB Corporation and bear the PSB Test Mark.
The stainless steel studs or strips are commonly used indoors. Due to its high quality finish, luminance and aesthetic appeal, many architects prefer the use of stainless steel studs/strips for indoor applications.

Kinetics Stainless Steel Tactile Indicators are unique in many aspects:
1. Anti-slip. Our tactile indicators are tested in accordance to strict international guidelines by PSB Corporation of Singapore. Tactile indicators with the proprietary diamond-shaped top surface design are slip-resistant when wet.
2. Rust-proof. Stainless Steel 316 grade of the highest quality is chosen for its high resistance to pitting and corrosion under most environmental conditions. Our products undergo vigorous tests such as the salt spray test.
3. Have minimum 30% luminance contrast so that the vision impaired (not blind) can detect the indicators.
4. Aesthetically designed. The tactile indicators are machine-finished to fit snugly against the face of the granite into which they are fixed. Our tactile indicators are used in MRT stations, shopping centres, hospitals and schools.
5. Strongly anchored to the ground to prevent the tactile indicators from loosening. The product is cold forged from one piece of metal i.e. without any welding. The ribbed shanks of the tactile indicators allow the indicators to be strongly fitted to the flooring and withstand rough usage.
